INTRODUCTION AND ALIENS
I never thought about starting a blog, it was other people’s forte. But lord help me, I have so many thoughts, so many thoughts that they consume me as a whole.
I am Janhavi, and here I am going to pour all the extended writings, writings on pretty much everything I think about, writings without barriers, writings and poetry that escape the crinkling pages of my diary and undulating surface of my brain, so bear with me ;)
Something you should know about me is that I am very indecisive, I had to ask 4 of my friends if I should start this blog or not. So many questions about upkeeping, consistency and maintaining the blog run through my mind.
Because I live in the uncertainties of the future, the present slips away from my hand.
I have known to be dramatic, dramatically hysterical, and unfunny. This it is best seen through my notes app which houses the best and the worst of me and thus it was chaotic to go through the past one-month version of myself in that app to decide if I should go ahead with putting my thoughts and feelings out in public or just stay calm and keep them inside this beautiful muddled head of mine. I wanted to start this blog at the beginning of April but better late than never!
I just kept aside my course books to fully get into the feel of writing and for the introductory blog I just want to ponder upon one random thought:
ALIENS
Not extra-terrestrial beings kinda way but just humans being extraordinary kinda way.
Each of us houses an alien within us, some of us are aliens within our lands, within our homes, within ourselves. We feel different, we are different. But most of us “aliens” forget to embrace the difference that lies in us.
We are hostile to the idea of aliens because we are so used to similarities that we forget to accept and embrace change and differences, internally and externally.
We are so streamlined that extra-terrestrial beings pop up in our mind when we think of the word ‘alien’. But this word also refers to ‘unfamiliar or ‘distasteful.’
(Honestly, ‘alien’ is just different and different does not mean distasteful. If we just open our eyes to changes and differences and irregularities in the world, then we’ll see the world with a ray of hope, acceptance and positivity.)
EMBRACE THE ALIEN WITHIN
“Thoughts flow in conversation”
And since this is a one-sided conversation, from myself to me (until I get enough readership, of course😉), I may not be able to capture all the ideas and thoughts running haphazardly in my brain, but I will try my best. Because I take expertise in being chaotic yet creative.
Until the next issue…
